To ensure water autonomy of the position, Germans drilled a well, several meters deep.
The water was brought up with the aid of a pump located in a room that was not in the axis of the entrance, and this was all protected by a thick layer of concrete (80 cm).
However, in the months following the installation of the pump system, the samples taken showed that the extracted water was not drinkable and the well was finally never used.
The first picture shows a crater, caused after the war, by the explosion of ammunition stored at the site, allowing us to see the side of the structure.
The bottom right part, normally covered with soil, protects the well and the pump. The upper left side at ground level is the entrance.
The second photo, taken recently with the same angle, gives an idea of the original appearance.
